NEW ELECTRON “DEEP GREEN”

New generation Electron will feature a punchy 65kW motor, giving sporty performance (0-60kmh in 5 sec), top speed of 120kmh and a range of 160km (100km on highway) in real world urban driving conditions.

It will be the first commercial Australian EV powered by the new generation compact and lighter weight LiFePO4 lithium ion batteries. These, combined with a latest generation TM4 motor and controller result in 200Nm of available torque.

We call it the Electron DG – Deep Green – because it is the most environmentally friendly car available in Australia.

The new configuration enables a 3-speed semi-automatic transmission where a single ratio is used for 0-100kmh – ideal for an urban runabout. Two higher gears make freeway and highway driving easy and energy efficient, and an extra-low gear is provided for situations such as steep drives.

Also available will be Electron DGL – a 2-seater long range variant which will have a range of 220/140km in urban/highway environments.

Other features: 2 hour recharge at home or at a public charging station (using industry standard J1772 connectors), optional extended range battery pack and optional GT stripes, mag wheels and leather seats.
